Abstract:

To provide a silicon-bridged Cp-Ar transition metal complex serving as a catalytic component capable of efficiently and highly selectively producing 1-hexene through the trimerization reaction of ethylene.

The transition metal complex represented by general formula (1) and a method for producing the same are provided. A method for producing 1-hexene, in the presence of a trimerization catalyst, through the trimerization reaction of ethylene is also provided.
