Abstract:

To provide a catalyst for olefin polymerization capable of efficiently producing a polyolefin and to provide a method for producing the polyolefin by using the catalyst.

An olefin is polymerized by using the catalyst for olefin polymerization composed of (A) a transition metal compound having a specific structure and (B) a compound producing a cationic transition metal compound by reaction with the transition metal compound or the catalyst for olefin polymerization composed of (A) the transition metal compound having the specific structure, (B) the compound producing the cationic transition metal compound by reaction with the transition metal compound and (C) an organometallic compound.
