Abstract:
To replace grease at the grease maintenance of a rolling bearing with a seal fixed to a shaft by an adapter without hindrance.SOLUTION: In an adapter 1 for fixing a rolling bearing 10 with a seal to a shaft 20, a locker of a lock nut 3 screwed with an adapter sleeve 2 is formed into a structure in which a plug 4in which a female screw XX of the lock nut 3 located in front of a stopper screw 4with an operation hole assembled into a screw hole 7 of the lock nut 3 in advance is formed, and a region in which a male screw 2b of the adapter sleeve 2 is formed are pressed to each other, a washer with a claw which has been employed as a stopper member hitherto is thereby dispensed with, and such a problem that a discharge hole of grease from an internal space 17 is blocked due to the contact of a seal lip 15a possessed by a seal member 15 of the rolling bearing 10 with the stopper member is dissolved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
