To properly use a multi-cone clutch to a main drive shaft of a transmission.
Fluid joints are formed as a plurality of fluid springs or bags 26. The crown of a fluid spring outlet piston is formed so as to be clip-fastened to a housing of a thrust bearing 29. A function of the thrust bearing 29 imparts a relative rotational operation between a cone-clutch male portion 30 and a piston of the fluid spring even in an idling mode or a power transmission mode. A twin-cone selection device comprises the male portion 30, a female portion 22 and cones 31, 32. The cone 31 operates as a drive cone, and freely slides in parallel with a rotating shaft in a circular slot 33 while being constrained. The cone 32 operates as a driven cone, and freely slides in parallel with the rotating shaft in a circular slot 36 while being constrained.
