Abstract:

To provide a transmission belt, in which a compression rubber layer and an adhesive rubber layer are vulcanized and adhered, and at the same time, a core wire made of an aramid fiber is adhered and embedded in the adhesive rubber layer, and which is excellent in both durability and strength, and a manufacturing method therefor.

In the transmission belt in which the compression rubber layer and the adhesive rubber layer are vulcanized and adhered and the core wire made of the aramid fiber is embedded in the adhesive rubber layer, both the adhesive rubber layer and the compression rubber layer are made of a vulcanize of an ethylene-α-olefin-diene rubber compound, and at the same time, the core wire made of the aramid fiber has a final twist coefficient and a first twist coefficient within a range of 650-950, is adhesion-treated with a resorcinol- formalin-latex adhesive composition, adhered and embedded in the adhesive rubber layer, 50-100 wt.% of the solid part of a latex component in the resorcinol-formalin-latex adhesive composition is at least one kind selected from between a chlorosulfonated polyethylene and an alkylated chlorosulfonated polyethylene. The manufacturing method to manufacture such a transmission belt with high productivity is provided.
