To provide a transmission belt with marks which is manufactured in low work load and which can keep marks distinct in an extended period of time even under use environment where scratch impact is applied, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same.
The transmission belt includes a body rubber member 2, a belt surface member 4 formed on the outer face of the body rubber member 2 and, a laminate 3 consisting of a thermoplastic resin film 5 having the marks 6 printed with ink in mirror image characters so that a printed surface is superposed on the outer surface of the belt surface member 4. The body rubber member 2 and the laminate 3 are integrally formed by vulcanization molding so that the thermoplastic resin film 5 is melted and adhered to the outer surface of the belt surface member 4 and that the marks are interposed between the thermoplastic resin film 5 and the belt surface member 4.
