PURPOSE: To reproduce an original sound quality with fidelity and to attain excellent correction by reading an inverse filter coefficient corresponding to one of plural measured positions from a storage means and applying the coefficient to a convolver.
CONSTITUTION: A 1st impulse response IR obtained by FET transformation is expanded over discrete frequencies over an audio spectrum and a signal in an undesired band is eliminated by a band-pass filter BPF. Then the IR subject to band limit is converted by an inverse FET and a segmentation window is applied to the IR on a time base to apply window processing. An inverse filter coefficient is fed to convolvers 1, 2 from a memory 9 via a control section 4 and sounds from speakers SP1, SP2 are corrected by the convolvers 1, 2 through a changeover section 5 from stereo sound sources SL, SR. The inverse filter coefficient is given to a measurement system, in which coefficient data are calculated from each work station. Then the inverse filter coefficient corresponding to the measured position is selected by an entry means 11 such as a key board.
