According to one embodiment, a transmission apparatus includes a first switching module (43, 47, 55, 59) and a second switching module (44, 45, 50, 51, 56, 57, 62, 63). The first switching module is configured to be selectively switched to a first state for transmitting electric power using a power supply line (13a) and a second state for transmitting the electric power using a plurality of lines including the power supply line. The second switching module is configured to be selectively switched to a third state for transmitting a control signal using a control line (13b) and a fourth state for transmitting the control signal using a plurality of lines including the control line (13b).
