PURPOSE: To compactly constitute a vehicle transmission device for carrying out power transmission without using a belt type continuously variable transmission during the low speed traveling having a large transmission torque.

CONSTITUTION: An advance/retreat selecting mechanism 16 is arranged on the back surface side of the fixed rotary body 78 of the drive side variable pulley 72 of a belt type continuously variable transmission 14, i.e., at the part where the hydraulic cylinder 88 of the other driven side variable pulley 74, and a CV clutch 92 is arranged on the back surface side of the fixed rotary body 80 of the driven side variable pulley 74, i.e., the part where the hydraulic cylinder 86 of the other driving side variable pulley 72 is positioned.
