To improve the response of a toroidal transmission mechanism to a gear shift operation by the shortening of a hydraulic oil feed path by improving an assembling constitution of the toroidal transmission mechanism in a transmission case.
A variator shaft 10 to which the toroidal transmission mechanism 4 is mounted is installed in the transmission case 1 at the upper side on the axial extension of an output shaft of an engine. An input disk 4b fitted to the toroidal transmission mechanism 4 is mounted to the variator shaft 10. An output disk 4a is fastened to the variator shaft 10 with the input disk 4b held therebetween in the longitudinal direction. Rotational force is transmitted from a traveling drive shaft 11 installed parallel to the variator shaft 10 at the lower position of the shaft 10 to the input disk 4b through gears 21, 22 and 23. Power is transmitted to a PTO input shaft 12 installed at the lower side of the traveling drive input shaft 11 through gear sets 43, 18. Power is transmitted from the PTO input shaft 12 to an oil pump 77 installed at the lower side of the PTO input shaft 12 through gear sets 75, 76.
