Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional transmission device in which the clock frequency supplied to a peripheral circuit is difficult to be rapidly changed in accordance with the access state to the peripheral circuit, and the power consumption of the whole transmission device cannot be reduced.SOLUTION: The transmission device of the present invention generates a clock of a reference frequency, supplies the clock to a central processing unit and a peripheral circuit, and operates them at a predetermined timing. The transmission device includes a control circuit including: a frequency division circuit for frequency-dividing the generated clock of the reference frequency to reduce the frequency; and a switch circuit for switching between the clock of the reference frequency and the clock by the frequency division circuit, and supplying it to the peripheral circuit. During non-access to the peripheral circuit, the clock of a low frequency by the frequency division circuit is supplied to the peripheral circuit.
