Title:
TRANSMISSION DIVERSITY EQUIPMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3118275
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To attain proper diversity transmission by comparing detection levels of plural level detectors, counting a comparison output signal for each reception system and adjusting the characteristic of each level detector so as to average the count.
CONSTITUTION: A specific time slot of a radio signal received by antennas 1, 2 is received by receivers 3, 4 via transmission reception separators 13,12 respectively. Its IF output is measured as a reception level by level detectors 5, 6. The measured values by the detectors 5, 6 are compared by a comparator 7 and a signal B representing which of reception levels is higher is outputted. A changeover device 11 is controlled by the signal B to select a reception system having a higher reception level. In this case, which of reception systems a, b is selected by the comparator 7 is stored as a number of times in a controller 8. The controller 8 compares the number of times as the result of selection of both the reception systems and adjusts the detection characteristic of the detectors 5, 6 when there is a difference of a prescribed level or over.
