To suppress the disconnection of a radio link with a mobile terminal in a quality deterioration area in a transmission power control method.
The transmission power control method for a radio communication system connecting between a radio base station device and a mobile terminal with a radio link is provided. Based on measurement information transmitted from the radio base station device, the mobile terminal measures downlink quality, and notifies the radio base station device of being located in the quality deterioration area if the measured downlink quality is lower than a first threshold included in the measurement information. On receiving the notification of being located in the quality deterioration area, the radio base station device increases target power to determine transmission power from the mobile terminal, to notify the mobile terminal of the target power increase.
