Abstract:
PURPOSE:To allow each station to independently apply transmission power control by detecting the quality of a beacon wave and a satellite reflected wave of its own station transmission signal, and using the values to control the transmission power of the transmission signal. CONSTITUTION:A modulation wave C/N measuring instrument 5 measures the C/N (carrier power to noise power ratio) being the quality of a reflected wave and a beacon wave C/N measuring instrument 6 measures the C/N of a beacon wave. Then an arithmetic unit 7 calculates the transmission power to make the satellite arrival power constant based on each C/N, and informs the value ot a variable amplifier to apply the control. Since the transmission power is controlled by using the quality of the satellite reflected wave of its own station transmission modulation signal as well as the beacon wave, a closed loop control is applied and the control with less error is attained. Since the quality of the satellite reflected wave is used, the control is independent of the effect of the gain fluctuation of the receiver and this system is easily applicable to actual systems.
