To provide a transmission-reception apparatus and a transmission-reception method for voice signals whereby excellent voice can be heard without deteriorating the S/N even when a voice volume level at a transmission output side is low.

The transmission-reception apparatus for voice signals is provided with: a transmitter for transmitting voice data including a digitized voice signal and adjustment data for adjusting a voice volume level or the like; and a receiver for receiving the voice data from the transmitter, and the receiver includes: a separation means for receiving the voice data and separating the voce data respectively into the voice signal and the adjustment data; and a voice processing circuit for adjusting the separated voice signal on the basis of the separated adjustment data, and an output signal from the voice processing circuit is supplied to a speaker.
