To provide a transmission/reception device which contributes to the miniaturization, weight reduction and cost reduction of an apparatus for communicating the signals of the same frequency by both of electromagnetic waves and ultrasonic waves.
The transmission/reception device 50 is connected to a communication apparatus 40, and includes an antenna 51 housed inside a casing 3 having a waterproof and water pressure resistant function, for transmitting or receiving or transmitting/receiving electromagnetic wave signals and an ultrasonic vibrator 52 for transmitting or receiving or transmitting/receiving ultrasonic signals. Either one of the antenna and the ultrasonic vibrator is connected to a connection route 45 with the communication apparatus, the antenna and the ultrasonic vibrator are connected through a matching circuit section 53, and thus the signals of the same frequency are transmitted or received or transmitted/received in parallel by the electromagnetic waves and the ultrasonic waves.
