PURPOSE: To omit the manual work in a conventinoal system to shorten the processing time by generating one still picture from TV signals and converting automatically it to an analog facsimile signal and transmitting signal.
CONSTITUTION: C, M, and Y color signals generated in a mixing circuit 2 are stored in picture memories 9∼11 and are transferred to a main memory 15 in color signal units. It is necessary that this picture is enlarged in accordance with standards of a phototelegraphic apparatus. An average operating circuit 16 is used for the enlarging processing, and digital quantities of picture elements adjacent to each other are added, and picture element data resulting from divid ing the addition result into two is inserted between picture elements adjacent to each other to enlarge picture information. Next, a resist mark circuit 17 is operated, and resist marks (m) are set to four corner positions of a picture P, which is subjected to the enlarging processing and is stored in the main memory 15, so that print positions of three colors are not displaced in the printing stage, and they are transmitted together with the transmission picture. A gradation correcting circuit 20 reads out picture element data from the main memory 15 and compares and contrasts stepwise variances of the brightness and the print density to adjust the gradation.
