PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission system which can suppress a slip between an endless transmission member and each pulley without controlling actuation of a specific auxiliary machine with high accuracy when starting an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: An ECU 70 includes: a reverse rotation control step of controlling an actuation of a specific auxiliary machine 11 so that a tensioner body 40 expands in an axial direction when a belt 9 stretches by the specific auxiliary machine 11 rotating reversely and the belt 9 slacks between a drive pulley 4 and a specific auxiliary machine pulley 5, at the establishment or after the establishment of a stop condition of an engine 2; a regulation step of regulating contraction of the tensioner body 40 by controlling the actuation of regulation means 50; and a start-up step of starting the engine 2 by allowing the specific auxiliary machine 11 to perform a powering operation. The ECU 70, in the reverse rotation control step, functions as resistance increasing means for increasing resistance which is a force resisting a force in a direction in which a driving shaft 3 rotates reversely, and controls the actuation of the specific auxiliary machine 11 in a state where the resistance is increased.
