Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission type optical encoder reduced in size without deteriorating detection accuracy.SOLUTION: A transmission type optical encoder comprises: a light-emitting element; a light receiving element; a rotary disk including a slit formed thereon, and configured to be rotatable together with a detection object; and a light guide path including an entrance facing the light-emitting element and an exit facing the light receiving element. The light-emitting element and the light receiving element are arranged on the same side with respect to the rotary disk. The light guide path is fixed independently from rotation operation of the rotary disk.
