Abstract:
To provide a transmission type photoelectric cathode capable of suppressing occurrence of a defect in a light transmissive conductive layer even in a case where a single layer of graphene is used as the light transmissive conductive layer, and an electron tube.SOLUTION: A transmission type photoelectric cathode 2 comprises: a light transmissive substrate 4 including an outer side face 4a on which a light is incident, and an inner side face 4b from which the light incident from the side of the outer side face 4a is emitted; a photoelectric conversion layer 9 which is provided on a light emission side of the light transmissive substrate 4 and converts the light emitted from the inner side face 4b into a photo-electron; a light transmissive conductive layer 7 which is provided between the light transmissive substrate 4 and the photoelectric conversion layer 9 and is composed of a single layer of graphene; and a thermal stress relaxation layer 8 which is provided between the photoelectric conversion layer 9 and the light transmissive conductive layer 7 and has light transmissivity. A thermal expansion coefficient of the thermal stress relaxation layer 8 is smaller than a thermal expansion coefficient of the photoelectric conversion layer 9 and greater than a thermal expansion coefficient of graphene.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
