Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve miniaturization of a transmission unit in the direction of a rotation axis although the unit is provided with a transmission in which power is input through a plurality of input clutches.
SOLUTION: A power split unit 14 is provided between an engine 10 and a first input shaft 28 of a transmission 16 in series with a clutch C1, that is, at an upstream side of the clutch C1. Thereby, since an input clutch is commonly used as one from the engine 10 to an electric torque converter 22, namely, the power split unit 14, and one to the transmission 16, clutches can be omitted in the direction of the rotation shaft center of the transmission 16. Therefore, the transmission 16 is downsized in the direction of the rotation shaft center and thus the transmission unit for a hybrid vehicle is downsized.
