PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure which allows multiple stages of a transmission while suppressing an increase of the number of part items such as a sensor, in the transmission for a vehicle having a dog clutch.SOLUTION: The connection and disconnection of a power transmission route between an input shaft 18 and a first shaft 24, and between the input shaft 18 and a second shaft 26 are switched by dog clutches 32, and a power transmission route in an even number stage and that in an odd number stage are connected and disconnected by synchronizing clutches 72a to 72e. By this constitution, the number of the dog clutches 32 is sufficed with one irrespective of the number of gear change stages of a transmission 18. Since the number of sensors for detecting rotation positions of opposing dog teeth constituting the dog clutches 32 is not increased in proportion to the number of the gear change stages of the transmission, the multiplication of the stages of the transmission becomes possible while suppressing an increase of the number of part items.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
