Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide damage-by-snow prediction with high precision even when there is prediction error in meteorological data by correcting meteorological data in a smaller area which becomes an object for alarming while using predicted meteorological data in a larger area than the former.
CONSTITUTION: Three-hours prior prediction data and 24 hours prior predication data are sent to a data receiving apparatus 1. The meteorological data received by the apparatus 1 is sent to a predicted meteorological data candidate apparatus 2 and of the 3-hours prior prediction data, the temperature and the wind velocity for which sustainable predicted values are employed are corrected by utilizing predicted values of the temperature and the wind velocity of the 24-hours prior data. A snow precipitation quantity calculating apparatus 4 calculates the quantity of snow precipitation on a transmission cable based on the corrected three-hours prior prediction data and a snow damage judging apparatus 3 judges whether snow damage occurs or not by a neural net from the corrected 3-hours prior prediction data. An alarming determining apparatus 5 determines whether an alarm should be issued or not based on the judgment of the snow damage occurrence and the quantity of snow precipitation.
