Abstract:
This power transmitter is provided with: a power transmission unit which emits first radio waves used for wireless power transmission; a communication unit which receives second radio waves; and a control unit. The control unit, upon receipt by the communication unit of second radio waves including a power transmission request from a power receiver, determines whether the power receiver has a right to receive wireless power transmission on the basis of a power receiver identifier included in the power transmission request. The control unit, upon determining that the power receiver has the right, performs beam control for increasing the intensity of the first radio waves that reach the power receiver. The control unit, upon determining that the power receiver does not have the right, performs null control for decreasing the intensity of the first radio waves that reach the power receiver.
