Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a transmitter capable of suppressing shift time to a start state while suppressing power consumption in a redundant configuration having an active system and a standby system.SOLUTION: A transmitter comprises: first signal output means 1; first output control means 2; second signal output means 4; second output control means 5; and transmission control means 6. The first signal output means 1 outputs a first optical signal. The first output control means 2 controls output of the first optical signal. First monitoring means 3 monitors the first optical signal. The second signal output means 4 outputs a second optical signal. The second output control means 5 controls output of the second optical signal. The transmission control means 6 controls, in a plurality of stages, a clock frequency of the second output control means 5 on the basis of a result of monitoring the first optical signal; and performs control so that the second signal output means 4 becomes a predetermined operation state.
