Abstract:
To provide a transmitting and receiving apparatus for enabling users to view subscription programs without failing to process ECMs and EMMs necessary for descrambling.SOLUTION: A transmitting and receiving apparatus includes a tuner unit, a descrambler, a control unit, and a CAS module configured to obtain a second key (Ks). The control unit set that, after receiving an EMM per one business entity, at least R (an integer greater than or equal to 1) of the EMMs should be processed within a processing grace period with respect to the CAS module. During a period from receiving of first control information (EMM) of the aforementioned first business entity to executing of a first command transmission to the CAS module, the control unit executes a second command transmission corresponding to second control information (ECM) of the first business entity received by the tuner unit with respect to the CAS module. The control unit discards the first control information (EMM) remaining in the first buffer after 30 seconds have passed since the first control information (EMM) of the first entity is stored in the first buffer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 25
