Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a constant level of transmission power even if gain fluctuation occurs in a transmission power amplifier.
SOLUTION: A transmitter 1 calculates a transmission power data S16 at a detection unit 15 and an A/D conversion unit 16, along with amplifying a modulated output signal by a control signal through a variable attenuator 12 capable of controlling an attenuation amount, and outputting the amplified signal to a transmission power amplifier 2. The transmission power amplifier 2 calculates an input side transmission power data S23 at a detection unit 22 and an A/D conversion unit 23, and an output side transmission power data S27 at a detection unit 26 and an A/D conversion unit 27, respectively. A comparison unit 28 outputs a difference between a reference gain value and the transmission power amplifier gain calculated from a difference between each transmission power data of the input side and the output side, to comparison/ control unit 17 of the transmitter 1 as a corrected gain value. The comparison/control unit 17 corrects a corrected transmission power value calculated from the difference between the transmission power data S16 and a reference transmission power value with the corrected gain value, and determines a control signal value and outputs it to the variable attenuator 12.
