Abstract:
To inhibit analog copying which records by providing an analog video signal to an analog video input terminal.
An ID signal having copyright protection information and category information is superimposed and transmitted by an ID generating circuit during the vertical blanking period of video signals. Whether the copy is inhibited or not is decided from the copyright protection information and the category information in the ID signal by an ID detecting circuit 20 and when the copying is inhibited, recording of the video signal or an audio signal is inhibited.
