To transmit the digital data of an asymmetrical shape at an increased transmitting speed by transmitting the incoming-information via an incoming, transmitting the video data, the acoustic data and the digital data such as the external information processing data with time division multiplexing in addition to the outgoing information via an outgoing circuit, and then transmitting a timing control signal after multiplexing it into the outgoing signal.
An incoming-data form conversion circuit 135 converts the internet connection request signal into a data format that is suitable to the CATV transmission. The circuit 135 also differentially codes the serial data and outputs them as the I and Q data. The converted I and Q data signals undergo the exclusive logical OR operations to the output of an orthogonal code generator 136 via an EX-OR 137. The output of a PN generation part 128 undergoes the exclusive logical OR operations to both I and Q data outputs of the EX-OR 137 via an EX-OR 130. The transmitting data are spreaded as the base band spreading signals.
