Abstract:
PURPOSE: To facilitate programming and operation of a receiver having a type adaptive to an RDS system, etc. in which identification data of a transmitter include an encoding information item concerning the program language of the transmitter and by using the item for tuning the receiver to the transmitter transmitting substantially the program language. CONSTITUTION: A system is a transmission/reception system, e.g. an RDS(radio data system) having a form in which a transmitter transmits an identification data item specific to the transmitter. An EEPROM 15 is used as a program memory and includes plural frequencies which are selected for instantaneously calling the program of a specific program language independently of a service name code that is used for identifying the name of a program chain. The data item is transmitted to a RAM 13 being a work memory via a microprocessor 9 based on the call of a specific program. Finally, a tuner 1 is tuned to the frequency having the best signal quality by the microprocessor 9.
