PURPOSE: To enhance the defogging action of a transparent cover coating by making the coating contain a specific trifunctional aliphatic polyisocyanate, trifunctional polycaprolactone, trifunctional polyoxyalkylene ether, nonionic copolymer, and nonionic surfactant.
CONSTITUTION: (A) A trifunctional aliphatic polyisocyanate based on 1,6- hexamethylene diisocyanate having a biuret or isocyanurate structure and having an NCO-group content of 12.6-28 wt.% and an average molecular weight of 1,000-450 g/mol, (B) either a trifunctional polyol based on trimethylolpropane and propylene oxide and having an OH-group content of 5.1-12.8 wt.% and an average molecular weight of 1,000-400 g/mol or a trifunctional polycaprolactone having an OH-group content of 5.1-17 wt.% and an average molecular weight of 1,000-300 g/mol, (C) a bifunctional polyoxyalkylene ether of 1,2- or 1,3-diol having a sulfonated or sulfonate atomic group of formula I having an OH-group content of 0.5-13.2 wt.% and an average molecular weight of 6500-250 g/mol, (D) a nonionic copolymer of formula II having an average molecular weight of 500-2000 g/mol, and (E) a nonionic surfactant of the ethoxylated fatty alcohol type or the like are mixed.
