To provide a transparent film which has excellent transparency, toughness, surface hardness and other mechanical characteristics.

This transparent film is characterized by comprising 50 to 99 wt.% of a maleimide-olefin copolymer comprising 40 to 60 mol.% of specific maleimide residue units and 60 to 40 mol.% of specified olefin residue units and having a number-average mol.wt. of 1×103 to 5×106, especially preferably N-methylmaleimide-isobutene copolymer, N-phenylmaleimide-isobutene copolymer, or N-cyclohexylmaleimide-isobutene copolymer, and 50 to 1 wt.% of a graft copolymer prepared by grafting a specific monomer to rubber particles, especially preferably rubber particles having an average particle diameter of 0.01 to 1 μm.
