To obtain a transparent gelatinous detergent composition having high hue stability, handling properties, foaming properties, detergency, and non-retentivity on the skin.
This transparent gelatinous detergent composition is obtained by incorporating a mixture of (1) 10-55 pts.wt. salt of an 8-22C fatty acid (which can be substituted with OH group), (2) 0.1-25 pts.wt. amidoamine oxide type surface active agent of formula (I) (wherein R1 is a 7-21C alkyl group or an alkenyl group; and R2 and R3 are each a 1-5C non-substituted or OH group- substituted alkyl group or an alkenyl group; and (n) is 1-5), and (3) 0.01-5.0 pts.wt. phosphonic acid derivative of formula (II) (wherein R4 is a 1-3C alkyl group; and M1, M2, M3, and M4 are each H or an alkali metal atom) into water.
