Abstract:
To provide a plastic transparent insulating substrate having excellent heat resistance which can be used for an active matrix substrate as the structural member of a display device.
The transparent insulating substrate is produced by using a resin of a random copolymer consisting of 2-4C α-olefins and cyclic olefins expressed by a specified general formula with a higher content of the cyclic olefins and having ≥230°C glass transition temperature and by the molding method by dissolving carbon dioxide in the above resin and then carrying out injection molding of the resin in dies.
