To provide a transparent protective disc for eye safety glass and a gas mask protecting a dangerous glass piece from jumping into an eye even when a glass sheet breaks, being lightweight, and keeping a good visual range and the eye safety glass and the gas mask using the lens.
The transparent protective disc for the safety glass and the gas mask is constituted by adhering a glass sheet 1 and a polycarbonate sheet 3 with a thermoplastic polyurethane adhesive 2. Preferably, an anticlouding hard coat layer 4 is coated on the opposite surface of an adhering surface of the polycarbonate sheet of the transparent protective disc. The transparent protective disc can be made by carrying out reducing pressure, preheating, pressing, pressing and heating adhering, cooling, and, releasing into atmospheric pressure in series after interposing the thermoplastic polyurethane adhesive 2 between the glass sheet 1 and the polycarbonate sheet 3. Further, the transparent protective disc can be used for eye safety glass and gas masks; in this case, the glass sheet 1 is arranged so as to be disposed outside.
