PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermosetting composition usable even in a continuous ink jet method by which the pattern of a protective film is easily formed by incorporating water and acid respectively in a specified amt. with respect to the total weight of the thermosetting resin composition and controlling the resistance value below a specified value.
SOLUTION: In a thermosetting resin composition consisting of a solvent component and a resin component, ≥5 wt.% water and ≥0.5 wt.% acid, based on the total weight, are incorporated, and the resistance value is controlled to ≤1×105 Ω.cm. The resistance value is preferably controlled to ≤5×104 Ω.cm and more preferably ≤1×104 Ω.cm. An acid having ≤5.0 pKa is incorporated, and ≤2-valence carboxylic acids are preferably used as the acid. Alkoxysilanes having an amino group and a compd. formed by allowing the organosilane, etc., obtained by hydrolyzing the the alkoxysilanes to react with a polycarboxylic anhydride are preferably incorporated as the resin component.
