Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a transparent resin having low dispersion and high refractive index, containing the component having double bond and COOH group and designated by a specific formula, and suitable as an optical part, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The objective transparent resin contains the component of formula (M is metallic element; m is atomic valence of said metallic element; Y is hydrocarbon group containing double bond; R is saturated hydrocarbon group), i.e. a component wherein the molecule A having double bond and COOH group in one molecule [preferably composed mainly of (meth)acrylic acid] is bonded with the molecule B of formula RCOOH (e.g. caproic acid) by an ionic bond through a metal (e.g. barium).
