PURPOSE: To provide the subject agent composed of an aqueous emulsion produced by adding an alkaline hydroxide, etc., to an aqueous copolymer dispersion synthesized from monomers composed of methyl methacrylate, styrene, etc., in the presence of an anionic emulsifier and a polymerization initiator, and having a low viscosity.
CONSTITUTION: An objective agent having pH 2-9, 35wt.% concentration and ≤50cPs viscosity at 20°C obtained by adding an alkaline hydroxide or an organic amine to an aqueous copolymer dispersion synthesized from (A) 100 pts.wt. monomers composed of (i) 25-50wt.% methyl. methacrylate, ethyl methacrylate, (ii) 15-40wt.% styrene, α-methylstyrene, (iii) 2-20wt.% copolymerizable carboxylic acid monomer [e.g. (meth)acrylic acid] and (iv) 20-50wt.% another copolymerizable α, β ethylenic monomer in the presence of (B) 0.2-3 pts.wt. anionic emulsifier and (C) 0.5-4 pts.wt. polymerization initiator so that 0-50mol.% carboxylic acid contained in the copolymer may be neutralized.
