To prevent rise of a pot seedling 4 only just plated in a field as a planting claw 2 is rotated and raised in a transplanter for pot seedlings equipped with rotary planting apparatus.

The planting claw 2 is constituted of a pair of claw pieces oppositely arranged at prescribed intervals and a sliding claw 23 is slidably arranged in the space. A slotted hole 24 is formed in the sliding claw 23 and a pin 25 slidably fitted into the slotted hole 24 is attached to the planting claw 2. The rear end side of the sliding claw is extended and attached to a drum 7 so as to enable free reciprocating turn while centering a mounting shaft 26. The sliding claw is protruded to the front side at different heights to the planting claw and rotated together with the planting claw and reciprocated and slid in the length direction of the planting claw together with the rotation. When the planting claw is rotated and raised from nearly lowest end, the sliding claw is relatively slid to the top direction of the planting claw and fixed to nearly constant height on a root pot of pot seedlings only just planted and the upper part of the root pot is suppressed by the lower end of the sliding claw to prevent rise of the pot seedlings together with rise of the planting claw.
