Abstract:
To provide a new-type transport belt for transporting fiber strands collected by pneumatic pressure, having an air-permeable intermediate region and air-impermeable boundary regions of which the whole areas are strengthened by heating, while conventional transport belts have such air-impermeable boundary regions that only peripheral areas thereof are strengthened by heating.
This transport belt is so structured that the air-permeable intermediate region 25 and two of the air-impermeable boundary regions 26, 27 are formed out of a fabric comprising thermoplastic filaments, wherein the boundary regions are made to be air-impermeable through a heating process.
