Abstract:
To perform gear alignment between a rack and a pinion all the time while configuring a transfer device in a rack-and-pinion mechanism by a carrier rack and a pinion provided at a predetermined position on a transfer route, in a production line including a process different in transfer speed and transfer pitch.SOLUTION: A transfer gear change device C is provided between an upstream side process A and a downstream side process B that are different in transfer speed and transfer pitch. A gear change pinion P3 is engaged with a transfer rack TR at the same speed as the upstream side pinion P1 and kept at the same speed as the upstream side pinion P1 until a main rack MR goes out of the upstream pinion P1. After the main rack MR goes out of the upstream pinion P1, the carrier is driven by the gear change pinion P3. Immediately before the main rack MR is engaged with the downstream side pinion P2, the gear change pinion P3 is made at the same speed as the downstream side pinion P2 and kept at the same speed as the downstream side pinion P2 until the transfer rack TR goes out of the gear change pinion P3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
