Abstract:
To provide a transport device which enables reduction of smears occurring due to ink mist adhering to an end of a sheet.SOLUTION: A transport device includes: a conveyor belt 21; a platen plate 27 which slidably supports the conveyor belt 21; and a suction fan 28. The conveyor belt 21 includes openings 30 which allow air flowing from the printing side to the suction fan 28 to pass and are formed in a mesh form. The platen plate 27 includes: suction holes 31a, 31b penetrating through the platen plate 27 vertically; first suction hole reduction parts 41 each of which reduces an opening area of the suction hole when a flow quantity of air passing through the suction hole is reduced by a sheet PA; second suction hole reduction parts 42 each of which reduces an opening area of another suction hole 31b different from the suction hole 31a provided with the first suction hole reduction part 41; and link parts 44 each of which links motion of the first suction hole reduction part 41 to motion of the second suction hole reduction part 42.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
