Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transportation and classification system for a home delivery article which can avoid a trouble concerning an appearance of the home delivery article.SOLUTION: A transportation and classification system 1 for a home delivery article is equipped with a major transportation path 2 in which delivery of a home delivery article, and plural classification destination transportation paths 3a, 3b, 3c connected to the major transportation path 2. The classification destination transportation paths 3a, 3b, 3c are respectively equipped with an imaging device 5 which picks up an image of the home delivery article, and a second identification number reader 6 which reads an identification number of a seal bonded to the article. The image (appearance photograph) of the home delivery article, which is transported on each of the classification destination transportation paths 3a, 3b, 3c, is picked up by the imaging device 5, the identification number of the seal bonded to the article is read by the second identification number reader 6, and information concerning the picked-up image and information concerning the read identification number are related to each other, and are transmitted to an information storage device by information transmission means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
