To provide an impact absorption structure turning ON/OFF function of an impact absorption material according to a level of the impact at collision and not frequently generating exchange of the impact absorption material.
A load transmission rod 12 and the impact absorption material 13 are bonded to a back surface of a load acting part 11 constituting an impact absorption device 10A. The load transmission rod 12 is penetrated through a center of the impact absorption material and is bonded to a support part 14 through a pin 15 directed/extended in a radial direction. A rear end of the impact absorption material 13 is opposed to the support part 14 with a clearance. A notch groove 21 is provided on the pin 15. Since the load is transmitted from the load acting part 11 to an equipment body through the load transmission rod 12, the pin 15 and the support part 14 at acting of low load, the load is not transmitted to the impact absorption material 13. At acting of high load, since the pin 15 is broken making the notch groove 21 as an origin and a surface of a closure plate 17 is abutted on the support part 14, the load is transmitted to the impact absorption material 13 and the impact can be effectively absorbed.
