The device for determining a moving method includes: a moving track acquisition means which acquires a moving track of a position detection unit; an index quantity acquisition means which acquires an index quantity indicating a shape of the moving track; a range acquisition means which acquires a range of the index quantity associated with a moving method; and a moving method determination means which determines, at least on condition that the index quantity belongs to the range, that movement is performed by the moving method corresponding to the range.
