To provide possibility of placing a transporting machine certainly in its running on either one of a flat road or a steep slope by a simple installation and also preventing, in advance, any trouble caused by plugging of earth and sand under trnsportation in the gear and/or holes of driving rails and breakage of the gear and/or holes of the driving rails in the case of sudden stop of the transporting machine in either one of flat road and steep slope.

A transporter used for the steep slope is composed by laying running rails 2, 3 and a driving rail 4, providing the transporting machine main body with running wheels 6... for supporting the dead weight of the transporting machine and making the transporting machine to run along the running rails 2, 3, a driving wheels 13... attached to the driving rail 4 as being capable of making pressure contact with it and separation therefrom and making the transporting machine to run in the case of pressure contact, a rotation driving source for both the running wheels and the driving wheel and a power switching device 20 connected to this rotation driving source and making changeover of power transmission to the running wheels 6... and that to the driving wheels 13....
