There is provided a transporting drum 100 for tobacco processing industry, for transporting rod-shaped materials, especially filter rods and/or filter rod segments for the tobacco industry by depressions 20 for storing the rod-shaped materials, arranged on the outer periphery of the transporting drum 100 preferably arranged at a regular interval in the horizontal axis direction. Stoppers 24 fixed to the side positions of the storing depressions 20, and forming the storing depressions 20 are formed in the transporting drum 10, and a plurality of covers 40 for the storing depressions 20 are formed within the range of transportation by the transporting drum 100. In this case, at least one of another stoppers 42 for the rod-shaped material can be arranged or is arranged between the stoppers 24 at the terminal sides of the storing depression 20 within the range of transportation by the transporting drum 100 covered with the covers 40. There is provided a machine for the tobacco industry, especially a filter-producing machine or a filter-attaching machine.
