To provide a transporting vessel for transporting to a melting furnace in a steelmaking work by storing high temperature reduced iron as it is, with which metallic iron oxide and waste material containing metal are reduced in a rotary hearth furnace.

The reduced iron transporting vessel is the one, in which the metallic oxide and the waste material containing the metal are agglomerated and laid on the furnace hearth horizontally shifted in a horizontal shifting furnace, reduced and stored and transported to the prescribed place when the reduced iron is discharged. At the upper part of the above vessel, a charging hole connected with a discharging chute in the horizontal shifting furnace, is arranged and a discharging hole for discharging the reduced iron, is arranged at the side part of the above vessel.
