To provide a transverse magnetic flux machine apparatus (TFMA) having a simple and economical core structure; and to provide a TFMA having an excellent torque property in variable speed applications such as a generator motor coupled to an in-wheel motor or an engine crank shaft, or a linear compressor on a crank shaft of a linear motor drive.
A core having a laminated steel plate is adopted for this TFMA. The core has a left diagonal part and a right diagonal part in order to form a 3D magnetic flux path. A plurality of 3D structures using a laminated steel core with diagonal parts are disclosed. Using the diagonal parts makes the core look like a centipede. There are several types of TFM like a centipede called CTFM. For this CTFM, a plurality of motor structures and a plurality of drive units are also disclosed.
