Abstract:

To surely correct transverse warpage of a steel plate under a heavy load without requiring a large-scale equipment.

A transverse warpage correcting machine is provided with a pair of roll frames 4, 6, which freely rotatably hold a plurality of small-width rolls 13, 14 arranged in the width direction of a steel plate P and correct the transverse warpage by clamping and pressing the plate P through the small-width rolls 13, 14. Correction reactive force, which acts on the roll frames 4, 6, is supported at least at both end parts and a central part in the width direction of the roll frames.
